Marvel’s movie division might not be putting on any large-scale Hall H presentations for Comic-Con this year, but that’s obviously not going to stop them from putting on a huge show with the highly anticipated Captain America and Avengers films!
Along with a teaser trailer set to play throughout the event, there are rumors that, just like with Odin’s Throne last year, Marvel might be bringing the Helicarrier bridge to serve as a centrepiece at their booth, along with other S.H.I.E.L.D-themed set pieces and a recruiting station.
Industry insiders also report that some Avengers cast members, including Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), could definitely be on hand for signings. Subject to availability, of course- they’re still right in the middle of shooting Avengers. Evans, at least, is expected to be in San Diego for a special event with soldiers stationed there.
And as if that wasn’t enough, since Captain America opens right in the middle of Comic-Con, there have been suggestions that Marvel will probably stage screenings for attending fans.
Of course, it’s all speculation up until Marvel actually unveils their booth on the 20th, but whatever they end up doing, it’s going to be huge.
