Movies

Well this has been a very busy week for geek news so here are the headlines for you for this week:

Taken Trailer

First they tried to take his daughter, now they are back for him! His wife is taken and his daughter is chased by bad guys in an attempt to capture Liam Neeson’s character alive. Why they don’t just shoot him in revenge, we are not really sure yet.

Skyfall Trailer

Bond is returning! Finally! The trailer is as action packed as you would expect it to be. The film starts with ‘M’ writing Bond’s obituary and then show him as his usual self, fighting the bad guys! Bond 23 is returning in November and it looks brilliant!

Dr Who Trailer

Another equally exciting trailer was released only yesterday; Dr Who series 7. Steven Moffat has promised us blockbuster-style episodes and this trailer looks like it delivers! With scenes showing Dinosaurs, Cowboys, Wheeping Angels and a ridiculous amounts of Daleks it looks like it will deliver! The only problem, we have to wait till the “Autumn” whatever that means! We cannot wait!

Prometheus Sequel confirmed

Although there hasn’t been an official title, Fox have confirmed that there will be a “Prometheus 2″ of some description. Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are both expected to return for the sequel which we predict will be along in 2014/15.

New X-Men film announced

Announced this week was the title to the new X-Men film which will appear on our screens in July 2014. The new film will be called Days of Future Past which is a reference to a comic book storyline from 1981 apparently. Intriguingly producer Steve Kinberg has been commenting that it will be a bigger film than the previous and there have been comments that it will explore the X-Men universe further than ever before.
