Classic Blu-ray Releases in August from Universal

Stephen Spielberg’s 1975 classic Jaws wil be making it’s Blu-ray debut next week as part of Universal Studio’s 100th anniversary celebration.

Also to be released in August is Michael Curtiz’s Western, Santa Fe Trail (1940) and Raoul Walsh’s noir-like Western, Pursued (1947), which stars Robert Mitchum as a former Civil War hero forced to face the demons of his past. Universal Studios will also be releasing the James Stewart classic, Harvey (1950).

Already available from the start of this month is Rio Grande (1950), the third and arguably best installment to John Ford’s famed ‘Cavalry Trilogy.’

So, if you have any classic movie buffs in the family with a birthday coming up, you’re sorted!
